International CRS
CRS is an international hub for translational science, product development and regulatory issues related to delivery science and technology. Delivery science and technology are used by a diverse range of industries to produce new products with enhanced performance. This is reflected in the membership two thirds of which work in industries as varied as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agrochemical and consumer products. Throughout the year, CRS organizes a high quality program of conferences and workshops showcasing cutting edge developments in the field, training the next generation of scientists, and providing invaluable networking opportunities to promote collaboration and partnering. In addition to opportunities to exhibit, at the annual meeting companies have the opportunity to present at Soapbox sessions, host Technology Workshops, participate in panel discussions with industry leaders, and use CRS Partnering to pre-arrange meetings with potential clients, collaborators and partners.
President’s Message
Dear CRS Members
CRSIRAN was founded in 1991 as a not-for-profit association dedicated to the science and technology of controlled release. The field of controlled release enfold scientific and technical endeavor to arrange the spatial and temporal effects of agents in human health, cosmetics and consumer products. The modern era of controlled release can be traced to the development of the first commercially successful oral sustained-release products in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Particularly, fondness in applications in the pharmaceutical field has been a key part to growth in membership in the CRS since its founding. In addition, as the science has developed and grown, the assignment of the CRSIRAN has expanded to cover all aspects of delivery science and technology, including increasingly the biological, physiological, preclinical, clinical, and development aspects in addition to maintaining a core focus in the physical science-based aspects such as formulation, processing, synthetic chemistry, and characterization.

Vice-dean’s Message
Dear CRS Members
CRSIRAN was founded in 1991 as a not-for-profit association dedicated to the science and technology of controlled release. Today, the interest of about 70% of the CRSIRAN membership is in the pharmaceutical area (including 5-10% veterinary) and 30% in the non-pharmaceutical areas (called consumer and diversified products). The CRSIRAN continues to serving members with both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interests.
Our field expanded to the expertise of multi-disciplines including chemical engineering, pharmaceutics, materials science, and the biological sciences, biophysics, molecular biology, cell biology, and medicine. Today, delivery science and technology are developing into a key multi-disciplinary field with diverse usage and professionals around the world. The CRSIRAN has as a goal to be the premier society for delivery science and technology in Iran.
Prof. Dr. Farid Abedin Dorkoosh
